Albert Boyd Channell

Albert Boyd Channell, age 70, of Culbertson passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. Albert was born at Burlington, CO to parents Arthur "Bruce" and Florence Irene (Duffey) Channell. He graduated from Goodland High School, Goodland, KS with the class of 1966. He continued his education at Fort Hays State graduating with a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. On July 18, 2004 he was united in marriage to Joyce (Cole) Harvey in McCook. They eventually made their home in the Culbertson community. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church. Preceding Albert in death were his parents, Bruce and Florence Channell. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Channell of Culbertson; children, Jeff (Sonja) Channell of Jetmore, KS, Nicole (Toby) Hammond of Thornton, CO and Tim Channell of Sterling, CO; step-children, Aimee (Joel) Harvey Thoreson of Crystal Lake, IL, Jonathon Harvey of Sutton, Mark (Monica) Harvey of Grand Island, and Joshua (Ambra) Harvey of Lincoln; seven grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Vickie) Channell, Robert (Judy) Channell, John (Tanya) Channell, and Duane Channell; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in his name to El Dorado Manor & Assisted Living, Trenton, NE or New Life Fellowship, Culbertson, NE. Memorial service will be Saturday, March 23, 2019, 1:00 p.m., at New Life Fellowship, Culbertson, with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. A private family inurnment will be held later.
