Aaron Patrick Jones

Aaron Patrick Jones of Cambridge age 23, passed away on July 9th, 2017 due to a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Cambridge, NE on October 31, 1993, to Patrick Shane and Linda Kay (Smith) Jones.

Aaron attended Cambridge Schools, graduating from Cambridge High School in 2012. As a student in high school, Aaron participated in FFA, 4-H, and four years on the football team. After graduating from Cambridge, Aaron received his Associate Degree from Central Community College at Hastings in Diesel Technology. He served his apprenticeship with Bryan Newcomb at Newcomb Diesel. He was recently employed at Bernie Jones Automotive in Cambridge as an Automotive Technician.

Aaron enjoyed hunting, fishing, training his yellow lab pup, Kevin, and riding his motorcycle. He loved to play with his niece Mille, and holding is new nephew August.

Aaron survived by his parents; Patrick and Linda Jones; sister Jessica and husband Jerrel Alexander all of Cambridge, NE; brother; Evan and wife Mackenzie Jones of Kearney, NE; paternal grandparents; Bernard and Mary Jones of Cambridge, NE; maternal grandparents: Eugene and Eyvonne Smith of Kearney, NE; niece: Mille Alexander and nephew: August Alexander both of Cambridge, NE; aunt: Susan and husband Kurtis Huxoll of Cambridge, NE; Beth and husband Chris Dorrell of Gretna, NE; Jeana and husband Chris Kinley of Jacksonville, FL Uncles: Jeff Jones of Cambridge, NE; Troy and wife Lee Ann Smith of Sargent, NE; Dean and wife Yvonne Smith of Kearney, NE.

Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical Church in McCook on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Donelan. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Aaron's name.
